JSB Partners is an executive search firm founded in 1998 by Joseph S. Barr and Barry Taitz. Our founders are Certified Public Accountants who met in 1992 at what is now EisnerAmper. JSB has grown from that initial partnership to a firm with some 20 professionals with an average tenure of 10 years. Our focus is the world of hedge funds, private equity firms, fund of funds, and family offices – four places where sector experience, a sense of stability and trust, and deep-rooted connections mean everything.
Hedge Funds and Private Equity Funds are ubiquitous today, but they were relatively new forms of investing 20 years ago. Our team at JSB Partners has a deep and long-lasting relationship with the alternative investment sector. We know how those firms work, the kind of people they look to hire, and where to find them. We know salaries and bonuses because of our knowledge base. We’ve placed countless CFOs in some of the most prestigious and successful Alternative Asset Management firms.
With every placement we make, the more we become experts on industry standards. We understand complex compensation packages and employment agreements as well as the latest compliance issues, operational requirements, tax & accounting mandates, and investor relations strategies. Our access to the alternative investment sector is unrivaled, which is why our clients continually turn to us for their executive searches and placements.
JSB Partners is not an all-purpose, cross-industry staffing agency. We’ve grown alongside the rarified world of alternative investment and asset management sectors. We’ve experienced the same bull and bear markets they have, and have come through those events with deeper relationships and a more meaningful understanding of the issues that face our clients.
